Ecrio raises more than $24M for mobile communications and commerce software
Ecrio, a Cupertino Calif. company that offers mobile communications and commerce software to mainly Japanese and Asian phone makers, said it has raised more than $24 million dollars in a third round of funding.
Investors included CSK, JAIC, Nomura Securities, Aplix, NTT DoCoMo, Visa, and existing backer Noventi/CIR Ventures.

3D mobile phone company, Gemini, raises $5M more
Gemini Mobile Technologies, a San Mateo, Calif. developer of wireless software that provides a 3D environment in which users can chat, share photos and shop on their phones, said it has raised an additional financing round of $5 million.
Backers are Japan’s Access Co., Aplix Corp., Nomura Securities and existing investor Mitsubishi-UFJ Capital. The new financing follows a recent $20 million round from Goldman Sachs.
