Cambrios lands $14.5M for electronic display components
Cambrios, maker of conductive films used in electronic displays and monitors, has brought in $14.5 million in a fourth round of venture capital. Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., the company is backed by ARCH Venture Partners, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Alloy Ventures, Altitude Life Science Ventures, Avalon Ventures, Harris & Harris Group, Headland Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Kidron, Lux Capital, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Oxford Bioscience Partners, Presidio Ventures, Sumitomo, Chisso and Nissha Printing.
Engine Yard’s Rails app support gets another $19M
Engine Yard, a company that helps developers deploy and manage web applications built with the Ruby on Rails programming framework (which is popular for fast web development), has raised $19 million in a third venture round.

Carrier IQ rings in $20M to gather mobile intelligence
Carrier IQ, provider of software that collects data on cell phone use and performance from individual handsets, just brought in $20 million in a third round of funding to fuel product development and attract more clients. KnowNow gets $13M more for RSS delivery — a lot of cash
KnowNow, a Sunnyvale company founded in 2000 and an early player in helping companies deliver data and information via RSS, said in a statement it has raised another $13 million.
