TriCipher raises $12M for secure logins

TriCipher, maker of software that assures the identity of users logging into online applications, just brought in $12 million in a fourth round of funding for further expansion. The San Mateo, Calif. company says it has already added 100 new clients in the past nine months. It also recently launched its myOneLogin product, a single sign-on authentication system for companies looking to prevent fraud and identity theft.

Oracle scoops up Tacit’s intellectual property

Oracle announced yesterday that it has purchased intellectual property rights from Tacit Software for an undisclosed amount. The smaller, Palo Alto, Calif.-based company makes applications for sharing knowledge across companies.

Its KnowledgeMail product, for instance, culls information from employees’ email accounts, and other sources to determine who in an organization has exprtise in which areas. ITM Software raises $4M more for CIO-focused management software

ITM Software, a Santa Clara, Calif. provider of IT business management software designed for chief information officers, said it has raised $4 million in a fourth round of funding.

The financing round was led by Red Rock Ventures and InnoCal Venture Capital, and also included Ascend Venture Group, Technology Partners, RBC Technology Ventures and Square 1 Bank, among others.
