Blackberry awards $150K to three mobile apps
Blackberry Partners Fund has awarded $150,000 prizes to three makers of applications designed to work on the BlackBerry handheld.
And the winners are:
Multiplied Media’s Poynt search service, which uses GPS to connect users with local businesses
Strands’ Social Player, a social-networking music player that connects users and recommends songs based on their tastes, soon to be released

Data warehouser Infobright takes $10M
It’s no simple task to store terabytes of information. In addition to just keeping the data safe, companies often require analytics and upkeep for their stored info. Infobright, one of the companies that provides such services, has just raised another $10 million in funding.

Mobile service Viigo raises $1.5M
Viigo lets you access mobile content, including RSS feeds, through its own mobile application. It has previously raised $6.4 million but it has just added another $1.5 million from Canadian venture firm RBC Venture Partners.
