Urology device startup Percutaneous Systems raises $6.3M
Percutaneous Systems has raised $6.3 million of a planned $7 million fourth round, according to VentureWire citing a regulatory filing. The funding comes from existing investors Compass Group, Montreux Equity Partners and Shea Ventures, as well as undisclosed new investors.
The Palo Alto, Calif. startup develops urology products and previously raised $12.25 rounds of funding.

Pulse Mobile, offering mobile messaging with 3D avatars
Pulse Mobile, a San Francisco company that lets you send mobile messages with an animated avatar, has raised $7 million in a second round of financing.
It is aimed for 14 to 24 year olds, but even old folks can have fun with this. There’s nothing your girlfriend or wife will like more than a “I dig you” message from a pig with a Japanese accent.

Water management company, HydroPoint, raises $19M
HydroPoint Data Systems, a Petaluma Calif. maker of water management systems for green areas, has raised $19 million more in a third round of funding.
This brings the company’s total funding to $36 million.
The latest round was led by RockPort Capital Partners, with support from Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital. Both invest in clean technology and energy related companies. Additional investors included Firelake Strategic Technology Fund, Monitor Ventures, Shea Ventures and The Toro Company.

Attune Systems raises $14M for a network file virtualization product
Attune Systems, a Santa Clara start-up offering a way to manage network server files with virtualization technology, said it has received $14 million in a new venture funding round led by RWI Ventures.
The value of the company increased with the latest round, it said.
Also participating in the round were GF Private Equity Group as a new investor, and existing investors Alloy Ventures, QTV Capital, Rock Creek Capital and Shea Ventures.
