Somo Enterprises raises first round for mobile apps
Somo Enterprises has raised $1.55 million in a first round of funding, according to PEHub. The company is based in Palo Alto, Calif. and is working on mobile applications. Backers include The Hit Forge and Lightspeed Venture Partners. It isn’t clear what the company is working on from its web site, and it has not yet responded for comment.
WeGame raises $3M for gaming video site
WeGame is a video site aimed exclusively at gamers, offering a niche for them to show off clips taken of gaming sessions alongside previews from publishers.
The site also offers a desktop application used to record games, which supports 31 games at the time of writing. Once clips are recorded they can be automatically uploaded to the site.

WeGame, stealthy online gaming site, raises $500k
WeGame, an online gaming company founded by Berkeley student Jared Kim, has raised $500,000 according to a recent filing.
The company — which is keeping its plans a secret — was founded last spring, while Kim was still a freshman. The funding came in August from True Ventures and The Hit Forge.
Another online video investment: Mesmo.tv raises funding
Mesmo.tv, another site that wants to help you and your friends discover interesting videos, has raised $900,000.
The San Francisco company, which launched in July, lets you collect videos on its site from around the web. Then you can vote on videos and share videos with friends. This way, the company can figure out what type of videos you like so it can recommend new, related videos to you (our coverage).
