SandForce gathers $21M for flash memory processors
SandForce, maker of flash memory processors, has raised $21 million in a third round of funding. Based in Santa Clara, Calif., the company is backed by TransLink Capital, UMC Capital, LSI Corp., Red Maple Ventures, Darwin Ventures, A-Data Technology, DCM, Storm Ventures and unnamed others.
QSecure raises $10M for smart payment platform
QSecure, maker of credit cards containing smart chips, has raised $10 million in a fourth round of funding, according to a filing with the SEC. The Los Altos, Calif. company is backed by Worldview Technology Partners, Allegis Capital, UMC Capital and Societe Generale. It has now raised $37.25 million to date.

QSecure, maker of credit cards containing smart chips, has raised $5.25 million of an anticipated $10.25 million fourth round of funding, according to a filing with the SEC. While it didn’t specify where the money came from, the Los Altos, Calif. company was previously backed by Allegis Capital, Societe Generale, UMC Capital and Worldview Technology Partners.
QSecure raises $5M for card authentication
QSecure is a Los Altos, Calif. company that has devised a security measure to prevent theft of credit and debit card information.
The company’s technology centers around a tiny electronic chip embedded in the card’s magnetic strip. When the card is swiped for a transaction, the chip causes part of the strip to change, making each transaction unique.

DiBcom receives $27 million more to get dibs on mobile TV market
The mobile TV market is expected to have more than 130 million customers by 2011, according to Screen Digest.
So DiBcom, a France-based semiconductor-for-mobile-tv company has received another $27 million in funding from its many investors, this time adding French bank NATIXIS. The company says it will use the money to continue improving its TV-streaming technology, and to spread faster internationally to phones, laptops, cars and other devices around the world.

Visage, provider of wireless software for carriers, raises $10M
Visage Mobile, a San Francisco provider of wireless software for carriers and private label wireless operators, has raised $10 million in a fifth round of funding.

UMC Capital led the deal, which included existing investors Nomura, Worldview Technology Partners, Mobius Venture Capital, Advanced Technology Partners, Vesbridge Partners, Emergence Capital Partners, Palisades Ventures and Selby Ventures Partners.
Since its founding in 2001, Visage has raised around $93 million in total VC funding.
