FusionOne raises $6M for mobile content backup services
San Jose-based FusionOne has raised $6 million in a Series A-1 preferred stock round for its mobile content backup services.
The company was founded a decade ago to create applications and services for mobile device users.

Visage, provider of wireless software for carriers, raises $10M
Visage Mobile, a San Francisco provider of wireless software for carriers and private label wireless operators, has raised $10 million in a fifth round of funding.

UMC Capital led the deal, which included existing investors Nomura, Worldview Technology Partners, Mobius Venture Capital, Advanced Technology Partners, Vesbridge Partners, Emergence Capital Partners, Palisades Ventures and Selby Ventures Partners.
Since its founding in 2001, Visage has raised around $93 million in total VC funding.
JDS Uniphase to buy optical switch co., Picolight for $115M
JDS Uniphase, a maker of telecom equipment, has agreed to acquire Picolight, a Louisville, Colo. maker of optical switch equipment for $115 million.
It may pay an additional $10 million in cash depending on whether the company hits sales targets this year, JDS, of Milpitas, Calif., said.
Picolight had raised about $125 million, but was then restarted in 2003 after the telecom sector went through recession.
