DocuSign, for electronic signatures, raises $12.4M

DocuSign, a company that eases the process of electronically signing documents, has received a $12.4 million cash infusion.

Last year, the Seattle company laid off some of its workers and earlier this year recruited a new CEO, according to the Seattle PI. It has been making a recovery since, and claims that it tripled its business in the first nine months of 2007.

Catalist Homes, real estate company, raises $4.5M

Catalist Homes, a San Francisco-based real estate company, has raised around $4.5 million in forth round of funding, according to a regulatory filing cited by PE Week. Shareholders include WestRiver Capital, BainLab, The Halo Fund and The Angels’ Forum. Phil Schlein of US Venture Partners sits on the company’s board of directors.
