Pentagon releases cyberspace strategy, admits 24K files were stolen by hackers in March
The Pentagon on Thursday released its formal cyberspace strategy to ward off cyber attacks. The 19-page document is not nearly as focused on offensive retaliation as previously thought but instead it mostly outlines a strong defensive approach to take on hackers.

What do fighter jets have in common with cyber attacks? During war, neither can be deliberately routed through another country if that nation has not given permission.
This is one of the new rules, similar to existing guidelines for nuclear bombs, missiles, and espionage, signed today by President Barack Obama. The executive orders outline cyber attack etiquette for military commanders. The United States is currently collaborating with other countries on the rules.

FBI planning to increase focus on cyber threats
FBI director Robert Mueller told Congress today that the bureau intends to ramp up its focus on battling cyber attacks and threats during the next two years, according to Bloomberg.
“We will increasingly put emphasis on addressing cyber threats in all of their variations,” Mueller said today at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on extending his term by two years.
