Sojern gives airlines a new way to make money — your boarding pass
Thanks to a startup called Sojern, customers of some of the nation’s biggest airlines will soon see ads on the boarding passes that they print at home.

Norwest hires Joshua Goldman, former Akimbo chief exec
Norwest Venture Partners, the Palo Alto, Calif. venture firm, has added Joshua Goldman as a venture partner to focus on investments in consumer Internet companies.
Goldman was most recently chief executive of Akimbo Systems, a company that built a set-top box to bring video to your TV, but which struggled with that strategy, and gave up on is strategy in May (see our coverage).
