Box.net ramps up HTML5 app development

Cloud storage provider Box.net announced today that it is launching a web-based HTML5 version of its mobile application that will bring the company’s tools to any mobile device running an HTML5-powered mobile web browser.


RIM launches 5 new BlackBerry 7 devices, but does it matter?

Research in Motion on Wednesday debuted five new BlackBerry smartphones featuring the new BlackBerry 7 OS. The new devices include the BlackBerry Torch 9810 (right), BlackBerry Bold 9900 (left), and BlackBerry Torch 9860 (center). Three of the devices will be available in the coming months from AT&T, while two will appear on Sprint.

RIM exec begs CEOs to shape up, but RIM doesn’t seem to care

In a passionate open letter this morning, a high-level Research in Motion executive offered up some suggestions on how co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis could reshape the company and avoid certain doom. But instead of assuring the executive that things will get better (or even responding to his actual points), all RIM had to offer up in response was a hilariously defensive blog post.
