Modern Warfare 3 DLC schedule revealed: 12 maps, 6 missions, 2 game modes
Activision has outlined its downloadable content (DLC) schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 during 2012. There are 20 pieces of DLC due in total, which will be made available to Elite Premium subscribers over a nine month ‘content season’.

New Skyrim patch coming, will actually fix stuff
Bethesda has announced that a major update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is currently undergoing testing on all three platforms. Version 1.4 is expected to be finalized next week and submitted to Sony and Microsoft for certification.

Microsoft acknowledges color-space problem with Xbox 360 update
The last Xbox 360 update delivered to users in December brought with it a problem with color output for some users.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 revenues grow but profits dip in holiday quarter
Microsoft reported a solid performance for its video game business in the most recent quarter. The growth was possible because the Xbox 360 is enjoying huge popularity in the U.S. market, where both Sony and Nintendo have been weak in the past year.
In its second fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices division posted revenue of $4.24 billion, up 15 percent from $3.69 billion a year ago.

Dozens of Foxconn’s Xbox 360 production line workers threaten suicide
According to reports, dozens of workers at a Chinese factory that assembles Xbox 360 consoles threatened to jump off a dormitory roof. The rooftop protest began on Jan 2, following plans to close the Xbox assembly line, with workers saying that Foxconn reneged on a promise to compensate anyone wanting to leave.

Japanese game industry revenue fell 8 percent in 2011, due primarily to a lack of software hits and a steady decline in a major console game sales.
