Browster

San Francisco’s Browster, which offers a downloadable plug-in for Internet Explorer that allows you to pop up previews of search result Web pages (demo is at Browster’s home page), has raised $3.37 million in venture backing. Vanguard Ventures and Advanced Technology Ventures are two of the backers, according to PE Week.

And following the digital/video meme — blossoming this week at CES — another Silicon Valley digital media company, Cradle Technologies, has raised $18 million more in capital. The Sunnyvale digital signal processing company is backed by Cardinal Venture Capital and Investor Growth Capital, among others.
