A veteran Silicon Valley lawyer, Joshua Green, has joined, has joined valley venture capital firm Mohr Davidow Ventures to invest in start-ups across various fields, including information technology and life sciences, but with a particular focus on energy and materials.
As a lawyer for the past 25 years, Green has participated in helping form many high-tech companies. He told VentureBeat his greatest achievement was working with telecommunications company Cerent, where he worked with the founder to help raise capital, bring in a chief executive and eventually get successfully acquired. Becoming an investor enables him to participate more fully in forming new companies, he said.
He was an early attorney at Venture Law Group, and most recently has worked as an independent attorney in close affiliation with Heller Ehrman, which acquired VLG in 2003. Before that, he’d worked Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, from 1980 to 1995.
