Omneon Video Networks, a Sunnyvale provider of networked media storage and servers for media production and broadcast, has filed for a $115 million initial public offering.

Given the excitement over video, this is an excellent time for it to seek an IPO. See its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission here.

For the first nine months of the year, the company made $6.3 million in net income on $60.3 million in revenue, showing relatively robust growth from the $1.4 million in income on $36.3 million for the same period the year before.

The filing shows that Norwest Venture Partners, Accel Venture Partners and Advanced Technology Ventures each hold 17.6 percent of the company, Invesco Private Capital holds 11.1 percent, Meritech Capital Partners 8.3 percent and Lucent Venture Partners six percent.
