There was one part of the new iTunes 8 that Apple chief executive Steve Jobs failed to mention today: A new visualization. In the demonstration room after Apple’s “Let’s Rock” event today, I got a chance to play with it. It looks great.

Visualizations are graphical representations of music within applications like iTunes. These representations change based on aspects of the music such as tempo or beat.

An Apple rep in the demo room confirmed to me that it is in fact Magnetosphere, the previously-mentioned third party visualization built by Robert Hodgin.
