Transbiodiesel, an Israeli biodiesel startup that has a unique technology to produce the fuel, has taken $1.5 million and signed a cooperation agreement with an unnamed large United States biodiesel company, according to Globes.

The process Transbiodiesel uses can produce less glycerin in a more environmentally friendly manner, which in turn increases fuel yields and decreases pollution. The overall process is also supposed to be cheaper than standard methods for making biodiesel.

The funding was provided by AquAgro, the venture funding arm of public company B. Gaon Holdings.
