Believe it or not, there’s plenty of blogging going on outside of the United States. We see it every once in a while when a site from China or Taiwan posts a spy-shot (or fake spy-shot) of some hot new product being manufacturered there. Unfortunately, unless you read those languages, you’ll need to run those sites through a site translator. But now there’s an easier way thanks to Google Reader.
As a 20-percent-time side project, one Google Reader team member has made an option to automatically translate any feed into your native language. Using Google Translate technology, this option doesn’t seem to provide perfect translation, but it’s certainly good enough to read.
I implore all non-English speaking VentureBeat readers to use this feature to translate our feed into your language. Of course, if you’re reading this, you probably don’t need to.
