BeliefNetworks, a Charleston, S.C. developer of semantic and analytic software capable of aggregating related multimedia content, has raised an undisclosed amount in a still-open seed round from Palmetto Investments & Exchange Group. It plans to use the money to forge partnerships with ad networks and other media web sites, reports VentureWire.

Its flagship product, the AffinityAgent Ad Recommendation Platform with Related Content, was recently released into beta. It lets users quickly and efficiently call up related articles, videos, music and other content. Accordingly, it gives advertisers the opportunity to map user activity on social networks, blogs and news sites to gauge interest and relevance, the company says.
