THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR

EPISODE 2

KRATOS       VS.      RYU HAYABUSA

Each warrior will be measured in ranged combat, close combat, and special attacks and their skills will be based off God of War (PS2), and Ninja Gaiden (XBOX).

RANGED COMBAT

KRATOS –  Kratos’ main weapon for ranged combat is his Blades of Chaos.  They have a reach of about 25 feet, and anything they latch on to can be pulled into close combat.  Kratos also has the ability to block most ranged attacks, and this will make up for his lack of ranged projectiles.

RYU  – Ryu has a good variety of ranged weapons including the shiru-kin, the bow and arrow, and several other deadly goodies.  He also has amazing speed and agility that makes him a very hard target.

EDGE – RYU

Because Kratos has no attack beyond 25 feet, I would have to give the edge to Ryu.

CLOSE COMBAT

KRATOS – The Blades of Chaos are the ultimate weapons from about 20 to 25 feet.  Two razor sharp blades are attached to chains that Kratos can throw, swing, or use to launch an enemy in the air.  The Blades of Chaos are instant death for anyone near them.

RYU – Ryu’s primary close combat weapon is the famous Dragon Sword.  I am not sure if it is an Ninjato or a Samuri Sword, but it is razor sharp and can take off heads.

EDGE  – KRATOS

Both warriors have deadly close combat attacks that end in instant death, yet because Kratos’ reach is at least 5 times that of Ryu, the edge must go to him.

SPECIAL ATTACKS

KRATOS – Magic is what makes up Kratos’ special attacks.  He has several forms of magic.  He can turn enemies to stone for a brief period, he can launch lightning, and he has an area attack that damages everyone around him.  The only downfall to his special attacks is that his magic meter is limited.

RYU – Ryu has several magic abilities that basically come in two types.  He can cause area damage or launch a fireball at a ranged enemy.  His magic is also limited by a meter.

EDGE  – EVEN

Both warriors use similar types of magic, and both have a limited meter, so I say both are even.

AND THE WINNER IS………(DRUMROLL)

KRATOS

I would say that Ryu’s only hope is to strike from a far.  The second that he gets too close to Kratos he will be ripped to shreds.  Yes, Ryu is an amazing Ninja, although a Ninja you see is not a good Ninja, but Kratos is the freaking God of War.  Or he was.  I am pretty sure that Zeus is his Dad.

Anyway, I call this Kratos.  He ripped Ryu in half after being somewhat hypnotized by the Ninja’s pretty moves.  Actually, I could say Ryu, but we all know you can’t kill Kratos.  He will just come back from Hades and kill you.
