Lately I have been going off on Developers and mainly they have been only making FPS games. So my mind started wandering and then it hit me. When can a developer really be called a good developer?
No matter if the developer is large or small it is something you probably don’t think about. What makes a developer a good one? How can you tell when a develoepr is good or not? Does it take one game? four games? or just plane doing something different?
Take Behemoth for example with there line up of Alien Hominoid, Castle Crashers & Now game 3. At what point are they a good developer? Is it when the doors open? After they made one good game in Alien Homonoid or after they sold 1 million XBLA Castle Crasher games? I could use this for Infinity Ward with COD 2, there COD engine or COD 4 MW.
Really any company can be put in here just the same with different points. So lets discuss when and why a developer can be called a good developer. Does anyone know when they can be or is just by who there staff is made up of? Because if it is just staff then every developer should be good one cause every developer is talented. I would love to hear everyones input on this subject.
