Lately, I've found myself in a bit of a gaming rut. Ever since I finished Assassin's Creed II, there hasn't been anything that compelled me to pick up a controller for any length of time. Today, I finally figured out what this means — I need a new RPG to play!

The last few RPGs I've attempted to get into have left me a bit worn down with constant grinding piled on top of slow story progression. Luckily, I have a large backlog and an opinionated group of gamers at my fingertips! So it is with this that I turn to you, Bitmob community. Lend me your wisdom and help me decide my next RPG from the four choices below.

Final Fantasy X-2 (PS2) – Now, I know what you are thinking. But I know enough people who have played this game to be able to say that I will most likely enjoy the gameplay aspects it has to offer. Looking beyond the questionable direction this game took with its protagonists, I enjoyed the world of Spira during my multiple playthroughs of FFX and wouldn't hesitate to return to it. I'm also somewhat curious about the divisive dress sphere system.

Valkyrie Profile (PS) – To be honest, I know the least about this game of any of the four on this list. Beyond the rave reviews it almost unanimously receives from fans of the genre and a vague notion of the battle system, I would be entering this experience completely in the dark. I know as an RPG fan that this is not a game I should have in my backlog, but I also know this would be a huge investment.

Blue Dragon (XBOX 360) – Everything I have heard about this game has been middling. While "Does nothing new for the genre" has plastered on practically every review, I've never heard anything negative about Blue Dragon's gameplay beyond that. The story, on the other hand, I've been told is not all that engaging. But could this possibly be the fun little RPG that I wouldn't have to take so seriously?

Tales of Destiny (PS) – I've been a big fan of the Tales series ever since I played Tales of the Abyss on PS2 last year and just recently received this game along with Valkyrie Profile in a trade with Bitmob community member David Ngo. The real-time battle system appeals to my maturing tastes and I've always enjoyed the characters that the series creates. However much like Valkyrie Profile, my knowledge of this game is somewhat lacking.

There you have it Bitmob community, I have presented my dilemma. Now, I leave it in your trusting hands to determine which way to steer me. As repayment, I will gladly write about my experience here on Bitmob. Although I'm not sure whether that is payment or punishment for all of you. The decision is yours!
