With Darksiders all ready out in the gaming world everything else looks bland. Now that is not to say Bioshock 2, Final Fantasy 13 or even Singularity is going to bad. Games this year may be ground breaking, revolutionary or even the best of there genre of all time. How ever I am starting to look at games differently now. It may be due to the amount of time I have, but then again Borderlands does not leave my PS3 unless my daughter is playing Little Big Planet.
Westerns may not be what some of you all like as a theme. Red Dead Redemption comes out later this year and was in my line of sights. It wasn’t because it is made by Rockstar or because it is one huge sandbox game. As a man born from Texas this has me all giddy inside like the game GUN did when it first hit the 360. However there has been something that has slowly been roping me little and little away from major titles.
During this year my attention will be turned towards small developer games. With games like Greed Corp and A World of Keflings it shows that small developers can make it. Hate to say it, but there are so many great XBLA, PSN and Small PC titles that are better then full console games. The amount of time you can put into these games many times last longer then most console games you play.
With nothing major coming out that was announced past march of this year. So for me this year will be the year of the small developer. Now just have to start saving up those PSN/Steam and XBLA dollars/points.
