Today, June 21, we will be closing nominations and voting for the MobileBeat 2010 Startup Competition, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Are you a startup with a new mobile product that will shake up the industry? If so, submit your company here and you may get the opportunity to pitch your product onstage to over 500 mobile industry leaders.

We have an awesome group of startup submissions so far, but are glad to add more. The MobileBeat team will hand-pick 18 of these startups (from a pool of nearly 200). The remaining two spots will be filled by the startups who’ve received the most public votes.

If you’ve already entered your company, or have a favorite startup you’d like to see win, you can vote here.  Two years ago, a little company named AdMob won the competition at MobileBeat 2008, and it went on to do incredibly well: Google closed its acquisition of the company for $750 million earlier this month.

In addition to unbeatable exposure, the top 20 companies will compete for the the prestigious Tesla Award, named in honor of Nikola Tesla, the scientist who discovered early mobile communication. Again, we’re looking for the most innovative infrastructure/services and applications nominees with real lucrative potential. Winners will be notified June 28 and announced on June 30.
