Google-owned video site YouTube’s new premium music service will apparently be called “YouTube Music Key,” according to report from Android Police.

YouTube declined to comment to VentureBeat about the details of its music service.

YouTube confirmed it was working on a premium streaming music service to accompany its video site back in June. YouTube is already one of the biggest free sources of music on the planet, but since it requires video playing in the background, it hasn’t really taken the place of other music services like Rdio, Spotify, and Beats Music.

“YouTube Music Key” could change that by making the audio portion of YouTube easier to listen to on mobile devices as well as providing an offline way to hear music. That means you’d be able to play music in the background on iOS and Android devices without much fuss, just like you can already do with other music services. The “Key” if you will, to Music Key’s success will most certainly be that YouTube can offer a more well-rounded mix of content from artists you love, such as official produced tracks from albums, live performances, and remixes — music that you can’t necessarily get on Spotify.

The report indicates that Music Key will also cost $10 per month, which is also fairly standard among other music services. YouTube parent Google already has a music service, Google Play Music All Access. It’s unclear if it plans to let the two compete or eventually merge them.
