Today Dropbox announced a major update to its Dropbox “Pro” file storage service, converting all previous storage options to a single tier: 1 terabyte of storage for $9.99 per month.

It’s no coincidence that Dropbox is charging $9.99 for 1 terabyte of storage; Google introduced the same deal for Google Drive back in March. Previously, Dropbox charged $9.99 per month for 100GB of storage.

Dropbox also announced a few new features for premium users today: the ability to password-protect shared links and the ability to remotely delete “Dropbox files from a lost or stolen device.”
