Evolve isn’t coming out until 2015, but you could play the 4-on-1 monster-hunting simulator this month.

Publisher 2K Games and developer Turtle Rock Studios revealed today that they’re planning an alpha test that will start Oct. 30 on Xbox One and Oct. 31 on PC and PlayStation 4. You can register to get into the alpha by heading to the Evolve website right now (but scroll down for a code to improve your chances of getting in). Evolve is due out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on Feb. 10.

Turtle Rock is calling this phase of testing the “big alpha.” Basically, that is just a marketing term that indicates the company is planning on opening up online trials to a bigger audience after it ran a very limited “alpha” earlier this year.

“The incredible reactions from early Evolve players have exceeded our highest expectations,” Turtle Rock design director Chris Ashton said. “But we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us in the coming months. We need to stress-test the servers and the matchmaking system, look at balance, unlock rates, and more. The alpha test is not fully representative of the final product, but it’s our chance to see what the game looks like in the real world.”

If you’re getting amped for Evolve, this isn’t the only chance you’ll have to play the game before its February debut. But you will need an Xbox One. 2K and Turtle Rock are planning an open beta for January, but it is exclusive to Microsoft’s console.
