In an effort to continue serving its corporate users, BlackBerry announced today that it’s releasing BBM Meetings, an audio and video conferencing service.

For now, BBM Meetings is available for BBM users on Android and BlackBerry 10 smartphones, and for Windows PC and Mac users on desktop. It will be available on iOS “soon,” according to the company’s website.

BBM Meetings’ key features include scheduling or starting a conference call; turning a BBM chat, group chat, or call into a BBM Meeting; sharing and annotating screens and documents with others; and full-screen, high-resolution video and voice quality for up to 25 participants.

Perhaps the most convenient aspect of Meetings is that the service will give you a ring when it’s time for a scheduled conference call, letting you skip the mess of dialing in and having to enter PIN numbers — avoiding these great opportunities to dial incorrectly — or having to sift through emails to find the call-in information.

BBM Meetings subscriptions start at $12.50 per host, per month. The service will also be included in the Enterprise Communicator bundle, available starting next month at $12 per month.
