Let Forrester make its expert assessment of who’s on top in the world of marketing automation software.
Today, business software review site G2 Crowd announced its Fall review of the top selections in this category. Marketing automation suites are integrated tools that enable scheduled and targeted marketing via email, social marketing, and other channels.
The G2 report, based on 2200+ reviews and ratings from marketing and other business professionals and priced at $599, includes customer satisfaction as well as market presence to rank products. Respondents were asked more than five dozen questions.
Hubspot, which recently went public, ranked highest in customer satisfaction.
“HubSpot, Eloqua, Pardot, Marketo, and Act-On are the clear leaders in the field,” G2 Crowd cofounder Tim Handorf told VentureBeat. Leaders are defined as the tops, with both a high customer satisfaction score and a “substantial market presence.”
That’s for the general market. G2 also separated out the highest rated for small-to-medium sized companies: HubSpot, Pardo, and Act-On. For mid-market to enterprise: Eloqua and Marketo ranked tops.
In the October report from Forrester Research, which was oriented toward enterprise marketing clouds, Adobe took the highest marks. Here, Adobe Campaign is ranked only in the third-highest category of Contender, where it has below-average user satisfaction ratings.
“In terms of features,” Handorf told us, “email marketing features had the highest ratings on average while social features had the lowest.”
“Users often mentioned that they would like to see improved social features,” he said, in such areas as campaigns, engagement, and analytics.
Second to Leaders are High Performers, which also have high customer satisfaction scores but a smaller market presence. Salesfusion, OutMarket, ONTRAPORT, Net-Results, LeadSquared, Hatchbuck, and Genoo ranked here.
