Free is good. Waiting is not.

Publisher 2K announced that its 4-vs.-1 monster-hunting game Evolve is getting two new, free maps. The Broken Hill Mine and The Broken Hill Foundry hit Xbox One on March 31 and PlayStation 4 and PC on April 30. So, if you don’t have the Xbox One version, you must wait an extra month.

Giving away new maps for free is a rarity these days. Most publishers charge for similar content. In fact, many fans criticized Evolve initially for having too much downloadable content for sale. Still, this fulfills an earlier promise from developer Turtle Rock that all new maps and game modes will be free.

Our own Rory Appleton called Evolve a great concept that doesn’t offer enough content in his review.
