Buffer is hoping to make it easier for you to share videos across your social media channels. The company’s service will now let you arrange to share your video content to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and LinkedIn.
As video content continues to proliferate throughout the Internet, people increasingly want an easy, user-friendly way to share their videos within their social networks. Buffer for video supports mp4, avi, and mov files of up to 1 gigabyte in size.
Users drag-and-drop the video they want to share into Buffer and then select a thumbnail image to go with it. After that, all that’s needed is a title, message, and scheduled time to publish it across the major social networks.
So how does the video look when published via Buffer? In Facebook, it’s going to appear as native, as you’d expect in your News Feed. The same goes for Twitter, but if you have a file that’s longer than 30 seconds (remember that Twitter lets you make videos yourself via its app), then Buffer will display a link back to its own video player.

If you’re posting to Google+, that’ll also have a native feel to it. As for Pinterest and LinkedIn, the best you can get is a link that, when clicked, directs viewers to the content within a Buffer video player.
For those that want to really optimize their video sharing, Buffer also includes basic analytics that’ll display metrics including likes, shares, and comments. Buffer for video is included in all of the service’s plans.
