Sony has revealed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is coming to 14 Xperia mobile phones and tablets, but doesn’t say when the update will begin rolling out.

The news comes the day after Google started introducing the new flavor of Android to Nexus devices, after it was first unveiled back in May.

The software rollout is normally done in phases, and can vary from country to country and between networks, though Sony does say it will be sharing more details “soon” on when things will kick off.

If you’re an Xperia owner, the 14 devices that Marshmallow is coming to are: Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua, and Xperia C4.

Today’s news comes shortly after Verizon announced that the Sony Xperia Z4V, which was initially planned for an August 13 launch in the U.S., is no longer happening. No reason was given for the cancellation, which could be an indication of more serious problems, given that Sony doesn’t hold a strong brand presence in the U.S. smartphone market at the moment.

However, Sony’s upcoming Z5 smartphones are scheduled to launch later this month — including in the U.S. — so the delay in the Z4 could be insignificant.
