“Rethink The Possible” at Coupa Inspire ’16
May 10 – 12 in San Francisco
SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–February 2, 2016–
Coupa Software, a leader in cloud-based spend management, today announced that its CEO, Rob Bernshteyn, will host Sir Richard Branson, Founder of the Virgin Group, and his son, Sam Branson, a social entrepreneur, filmmaker and adventurer, as featured speakers in an exclusive keynote during Coupa Inspire ’16, taking place May 10 – 12, 2016 at the Westin St. Francis Union Square in San Francisco, CA.
Coupa Inspire ’16 is a premier cloud spend management industry gathering that will bring together more than 1,500 finance professionals, procurement leaders and industry analysts this year and inspire them to “Rethink The Possible.”
During the marquee keynote event, three generations of entrepreneurs will join together on the Coupa Inspire ’16 mainstage and engage the audience in a thought-provoking discussion on the importance of driving disruptive business innovation and creating a positive impact in the world.
Drawing from their individual experiences as bold risk-takers willing to break through traditional barriers and challenge the status quo, Sir Richard, Sam Branson and Rob Bernshteyn will share with attendees how their passion for disruptive innovation, and approaches to entrepreneurialism, have helped create new paths for companies to generate customer and business value.
Sir Richard, regarded worldwide as an entrepreneur, humanitarian and adventurer, will share with the audience how he’s dedicated much of his life to breaking paradigms, and finding entrepreneurial ways to provoke positive change. With an illustrious history of tackling tough social and environmental problems through his work with numerous non-profit organizations, he was awarded a knighthood by Buckingham Palace for his services to entrepreneurship. He’s also well known for challenging himself with many record-breaking adventures, and considers the pioneering work he’s leading at Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial spaceline, to be the “greatest adventure of all.”
Sir Richard will share with Coupa Inspire ’16 attendees how he has been able to both build an innovative lifestyle brand – through his award-winning airlines Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia, and world’s first commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic – while also using business as a force for good.
As the CEO of Coupa Software, Bernshteyn will discuss the next era of customer value creation and share with the audience how Coupa has helped re-define the enterprise software industry through value-based disruption. While sharing his own passion for making corporate social responsibility a business imperative, he’ll talk about the power of embedded giving and how the savings-as-a-service leader pioneered the Coupa Advantage program to deliver “savings with a purpose.”
“It’s both an incredible pleasure and an immense honor to welcome Sir Richard and Sam Branson as featured speakers at this year’s Coupa Inspire ’16 event,” said Bernshteyn. “Their shared passion, drive, and intensity for risk taking, and pushing the boundaries for what’s possible in order to create positive change in the world is awe-inspiring, and reflective of our own passion as a company to grow the Coupa Advantage program and continuously deliver for the greater good.”
While on stage, Sam Branson will discuss how he’s driving disruptive innovation in the next era of social entrepreneurialism, and the coming waves of corporate social responsibility. In addition to being a member of the Virgin Group management team and the founder of Sundog Pictures, Sam’s passion for adventure and the environment has seen him endure many challenges, most notably embarking on a 1,400 mile, three-month, dogsled expedition to the Arctic to raise awareness around climate change. As a founder of several charity organizations, including Big Change and the Virgin Strive Challenge, Sam will share with the audience his ongoing efforts to drive long-term social changes through the power of innovation.
