2016 is the year of Pokémon.

Nintendo revealed Pokémon Sun and Moon today, the next entries in its popular series that has so far sold over 200 million games. We don’t know much about Sun and Moon yet, other than that they will come out worldwide this holiday season. This announcement comes during the week the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary. You can check out the reveal trailer below.

Players will be able to use the Pokémon Bank app on the 3DS to transfer their monsters from the X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire versions to Sun and Moon. They can even transfer Pokémon from the 3DS digital releases of the originals, Red, Blue, and Yellow.

Three top investment pros open up about what it takes to get your video game funded.

2013’s X and Y were the last entries in the main series. They were the first to use 3D models for Pokémon during battles. They followed a formula used by the franchise since the beginning: pick one of three starter Pokémon, begin traveling from town to town capturing more Pokémon while defeating the eight Gym Leaders from each city, take down a criminal organization, and then challenge the Elite Four and become Pokémon champion.
