D3 Go today announced an event for its mobile game Marvel Puzzle Quest based off of the upcoming film Captain America: Civil War. New content like this can keep players engaged and more likely to spend money on a free-to-play game. Of course, this specific event will also help Marvel market its upcoming movie. Marvel Puzzle Quest is the No. 902 ranked game on the iTunes app store, according to App Annie. At its height in October 1013, it was No. 17.
“In the event, players will be able to choose a side [Team Cap or Team Iron Man] with their Alliance and battle through missions of the opposing team and ultimately confront a special boss version of Captain America or Iron Man,” a press release from D3 Go! noted. “Inspired by the film, players will be able to compete in the event with their Alliance mates to recruit both 5-star Epic Characters, Steve Rogers [First Avenger] and Iron Man [Mark XLVI)] to their roster.”
The character Winter Soldier will be available in the game tomorrow, April 28. You’ll need him to tackle the first wave of Civil War missions. You can check out a trailer for the new content below.
