Recruiting is one of those activities in business that takes time and effort, but sometimes doesn’t produce the desired results. You can sift through resumes, reach out to people on LinkedIn, and even conduct an interview in person — and then take a pass.
The problem? In most cases, the candidate doesn’t quite match the requirements.
Recently, I heard about a new chatbot that might solve some of these problems. It’s called Job Pal, and it essentially does most of the initial interviewing normally done by a human recruiter. (You can see how it works at the Product Hunt link here.) In many ways, it shows the strength of machine intelligence as a way to reduce the workload for employees. The bot can ask questions, gather information for an application, verify an email address, and do some of the more mundane tasks.
In his demo of how this all works, founder Luc Dudler does an excellent job of showing how a bot can help humans. We’ve profiled job chatbots and the Mya app before, but this one belongs on your short list, too.
