Media-sharing service CloudApp announced today that it closed a $2 million seed investment.

The desktop tool lets users save screenies and GIFs to a sharable link. Once in the app, CloudApp’s machine learning technology analyzes the image and gives them context so that users can find them through visual search and share them, privately if they choose to.

CloudApp has a client list that includes HBO, MailChimp, Foursquare, and Slack.

Scribd founder Tikhon Bernstam, Ride Ventures, and The Gramercy Fund are among the seed investors.
