Jesse Divnich, a well-known thinker in mobile games, has joined Montreal-based game company Hibernum as vice president of product.
Divnich, who formerly worked at mobile game publisher Tilting Point in New York, will oversee and shape Hibernum’s global portfolio strategy.
Divnich appeared recently on our mobile game influencers panel for a GamesBeat Roadshow in New York.
“Jesse brings unique and valuable expertise to Hibernum as we continue to expand our global footprint in mobile, as well as PC, console, and emerging platforms,” said LouisRené Auclair, the chief brand officer of Hibernum, in a statement. “Many publishers, developers, and investors have relied on Jesse to refine their product strategy and launch planning practices; we welcome Jesse to the team as Hibernum now competes on more platforms and in more markets than ever before.”
Before joining Tilting Point, Divnich was a well-known analyst at EEDAR, a video game research firm.
“The game development community in Canada has exploded since I left nearly 20 years ago,” said Divnich in a statement. “I am honored to return as a part of the Hibernum team with an arsenal of experience from the best in the industry, from Shanghai to Helsinki and everywhere in between.”
Divnich continued, “Hibernum has established itself as a developer of choice among the biggest names in video game publishing and is perfectly positioned to compete and win as a creator of game experiences across every game platform.”
Founded in 2005, Hibernum has focused on cross-platform games, which it developed for companies such as Cartoon Network, D3 Go!, DeNA, Disney, Eidos, Halfbrick, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), and Wooga. Recent projects include Magic: The Gathering Puzzle Quest, TransGalactic Tournament, and Bruce Lee: Enter the Game.
