The Monster Hunter series has been a huge success in Japan, but it’s had a more limited appeal in Western markets. The series has sold over 40 million games. World will attempt to bring in more fans to the action role-playing franchise with its larger open-worlds. For the past few entries, the franchise had mostly found its home on the 3DS. Monster Hunter: World is also getting a collector’s edition that will come with a soundtrack, art book, and a figure of the Nergigante monster. It also includes all of the content from the Digital Deluxe version of the game.
