Ahead of the Assassin’s Creed: Origins launch later this month, Ubisoft has unveiled the downloadable content that will be available for free and for folks who purchase a season pass. Origins will be out on October 27 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, as well as on Xbox One X on November 7.
The season pass is available for $40, and it’s also packaged as a part of Assassin’s Creed: Origins Gold Edition, which is available for $110. Some exclusive DLC for season pass owners will be available when the game launches, such as a weapon, the Calamity Blade, and 500 Helix Credits, which are the in-game currency. In November, players will get access to The Roman Centurion and Horus Packs, which unlock new costumes, weapons, shields, and mounts.
Farther down the line, The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs expansion packs will become available as part of the season pass in January and March 2018 respectively. The Hidden Ones will have players clashing against Roman armies several years after the end of Origins, while The Curse of the Pharaohs has more of a supernatural bent, as players fight reanimated pharaohs and creatures from Egyptian lore. Both expansions will raise the level cap, and The Curse of the Pharaohs will add new abilities as well.
Free DLC that will be available to all players include The Trials of the Gods and The Nomad’s Bazaar. The Bazaar, which is downloadable at launch, gives players daily quests for rewards. The Trials of the Gods will arrive 15 days after launch and feature boss battles against Egyptian gods as timed events.
All players will also be able to download three different modes, including the previously revealed Discovery Tour mode, which features tours through the world of Origins by historians and experts. The other two are Photo Mode and Horde Mode, which respectively enable players to share in-game photos with other players and pit players against endless enemies in the gladiator arena. Photo Mode will be available at launch, and the others will be available in 2018.
