Capcom revealed during a special Twitch stream celebrating Mega Man‘s 30th anniversary that all eight Mega Man X games are coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime within the next year.
The original Mega Man came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in December 17, 1987. The game spawned dozens of sequels and spinoffs, but the franchise went mostly dormant since Mega Man 10’s release in 2010. Mega Man X was the first of those spinoff series. The original came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993.
Capcom did not specify how these games will release on the modern systems. The company has released compilations for the classic Mega Man games in the last couple of years.
Mega Man X differentiated itself with a more mature world, more story elements, and new movement options like a dash and wall climb.
