The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is coming up fast. This year, the world’s largest professional game industry event will be happening March 18-22, in San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center.
If you can’t be one of the 28,000 attendees — or you’re looking for deeper insight and exclusive coverage — our team of GamesBeat reporters has your back. We’ll be there all week, covering panels and presentations, along with hands-on demos and interviews with companies such as Funcom, Paradox, Ubisoft, Oculus, and much, much more, says GamesBeat managing editor, Jason Wilson.
GDC started in a game designer’s living room, but over 33 years it has grown to welcome 28,000-plus attendees, and has come to embrace the whole games industry spectrum, from consoles, mobile and handheld devices, tablets, online, and computer games, to increasing coverage of the emerging VR and AR space.
The conference features 750 lectures, panels, tutorials, and roundtable discussions on game development and VR/AR topics taught by leading industry experts, while the GDC Expo showcases the latest game development tools and services from the big tech names like Amazon, Google, Intel, Nvidia, Oculus, Sony, and Unreal Engine. Attendees can even use the conference’s GDC Connect business matchmaking service to get set up with the developers or investors of your dreams.
