Richard has been with R3 since 2015 and led the design of both R3’s blockchain platform Corda and its confidential computing platform, Conclave. Before R3, Richard was Executive Architect for Industry Innovation and Business Development for IBM’s Banking and Financial Markets business in the UK. Richard is also a member of the Bank of England's CBDC Technology forum and has previously spoken in the House of Lords about the potential usage of CBDCs.
