Shivani is a tech auteur and the founder of Brightlobe, a VC-backed videogames studio and child health startup. Following a lifetime of coding, academic achievement and entrepreneurial success, Shivani created Brightlobe as an enterprise with a social purpose. Brightlobe is making pioneering mobile ecosystems featuring unique vibrant narratives, offering immersive video game experiences which can assess health factors in children.
At Brightlobe, she is responsible for driving company growth, formation of new commercial partnerships and leading the development of proprietary technology. Shivani is also a creative powerhouse, having spent one year creating a fictional, living, breathing universe of content, which informs the narrative of their first videogame.
Shivani was born in Sweden, raised in the USA, and now resides in London. As a child, Shivani developed a passion for coding. This early fascination with programming led to her winning multiple science fair awards, and a highly successful educational path at University College London and UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, where Shivani was awarded with distinction and top marks in neuroscience.
Prior to founding Brightlobe, Shivani delivered STEM workshops across the USA and the United Kingdom. In 2014, she headed up the educational consultancy Forensic Outreach, driving its success across the UK, which has been featured in media outlets such as Forbes, The Guardian and The Next Web. Shivani has also held commercial software engineer roles at companies such as The Financial Times.
