Yesterday, Amazon.com collected more than $1,300 a minute for tsunami and earthquake relief efforts in South Asia after prominently calling for Red Cross donations on its Web site. Today, we see that Apple Computer has gone a step further, devoting virtually its entire home page to relief efforts for the disaster. It’s the first time we can recall never seeing a product promoted there.
