Apple has released a new update, OS X 10.10.3, that delivers new emojis and the new Photos app.

It’s the third major update to the Yosemite OS. The features delivered in the update have been in beta since March.

The Photo app is the major news here. It allows OS X users to organize their photo library in the cloud so that the images are available, and easily findable, on all Apple devices.

The Photos app was originally introduced at the time Yosemite launched in 2014. The update is the official end of the clunky iPhoto image management app. Good riddance.

The new update also provides for a new two-factor authentication, which adds another layer of security for those who want it.

And finally, yes Virginia, we have even more — hundreds more — emojis to work with. These include multiple different designs for certain key emojis, as well as human face emojis of different races.

The update also brings minor improvements to Spotlight, Safari, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
