Enterprise software company Atlassian today is announcing several integrations between task management app Trello, which it acquired earlier this year, and four of its existing apps: Bitbucket, Confluence, HipChat, and Jira.

All except one of the four are adding tools for Trello. In the case of HipChat, it’s going the other way around: a richer Trello integration is arriving in HipChat. That’s because HipChat already offers a Power-Up for Trello.

“There is now the ability to discuss cards and easily hop into Trello to get the big picture. Or, even better, turn a back-and-forth brainstorming session into actionable items in Trello by creating cards from HipChat messages,” Trello said in a blog post. With the new Trello add-on for HipChat it’s possible to control which boards, lists, and cards trigger notifications in HipChat.

HipChat competes with, among other things, Microsoft Teams and Slack, both of which integrate with Trello. There are more than 130 existing Trello integrations; now the product’s owner is making sure its own apps are well represented on Trello, too.

Bitbucket Cloud Power-Up
With Bitbucket, it’s possible to add branches, commits, and pull requests to Trello cards. You can also create a new branch from a Trello card. Build status is visible while looking at a given board.

Confluence Cloud Power-Up
In Confluence, now you can see information about a given Confluence page from a Trello card, as well as making a new Confluence page from a Trello card.

Jira Cloud Power-Up
The Jira integration for Trello brings information about the status, priority, and assignee for an issue right to a Trello card. And you can create a new issue from a Trello card.

Note that the Power-Ups don’t hook into Atlassian apps that get deployed on on-premises server infrastructure.

Bitbucket competes with GitHub and GitLab — the former does have an integration for Trello. Confluence competes with Microsoft SharePoint, while Jira competes with Microsoft Project.

Atlassian went public in 2015.
