Forte Design Systems raises $5.4M for hardware chip design

Forte Design Systems, a San Jose company that helps create chip hardware designs, said it has raised $5.4 million in a fourth round of venture backing.

Saints Capital joined 3i Corporation and Infinity Capital as main investors in the company.

Leo de Luna, senior associate at Saints Capital stated, “Forte has impressed us with its leading ESL synthesis product which accelerates the path from SystemC and ANSI C/C++ to quality RTL and ultimately silicon. Forte’s Cynthesizer has made strong progress in the marketplace, meriting our interest as investors.”
