We got inspired this weekend to start playing with widgets, those mini application doo-dads that let you perform tasks or put Web content on your desktop. (More on where the inspiration came from on Monday.) The result is the SiliconBeat widget, a little downlodable file that places SB headlines on your desktop. It’s just for Macs for now, but a Windows version is planned, as is a smaller, more compact version. Pointless? Self-indulgent? Perhaps. So be it. Have at it. Comments welcome.
